BRUSH & BRANCH PICK UP PROGRAMS:
NE & NW Quadrants: April 16, June 4, September 4 (Due to 9/3 Holiday) & January 7, 2019 SE & SW Quadrants: April 23, June 11, September 10 & January 14, 2019
This program is for brush & branches only! Materials are to be placed curbside by 7:00 a.m. on Monday on the dates above. Each resident will receive one (1) pickup during their scheduled week. Branchesshall notexceed 4’ in length or exceed 12” in diameter. Materials should not obstruct roadways and sidewalks. Leaves are not permitted in the Brush program.
As of Monday, April 16, 2018 the Public Works crews have completed the one-time debris collection in Zones 1&2 and 7&8.
The Department of Public Works is working on collecting debris in Zone 3 in the vicinity of Wychwood Rd and Kimball Ave and Zone 9 in the vicinity of Summit Ave. Please see link to leaf collection map below for the specific streets in those zones.
The collection of debris is time consuming, so we thank you in advance for your patience as the Public Works crews make their way to your neighborhood.
The Scotch Plains DPW continues to work diligently to ensure the Township’s streets are safe for our residents and is continuing to work on pick-up of storm related debris. The North Side of town has completed their pick-up of storm related debris. Please note that large tree parts (whole trees) or stumps or roots will not be taken in the spring cleanup which begins approximately April 23rd. Storm related pick up is still ongoing on the South Side of town.
We ask that all residents please place any leaves, gumballs, and branches in separate piles against the curb for pick up. Please note branches need to be cut to no longer than 6’ in length and 2 “ in diameter. No logs or stumps will be taken. The DPW will be continuing their spring pick-ups starting approximately April 23rd.
